ABOUT PEARLS
Pearls are not made to be flawless.
They are formed in response to something unexpected.
A grain of sand. A fragment of shell.
Rather than resisting it, the oyster responds by layering nacre slowly, patiently until what was once an irritation becomes something luminous.
That transformation is what draws me to pearls.
They are not uniform. They are not manufactured.
They do not pretend to be anything other than what they are.
They remind us that beauty comes from acceptance, not refinement.
From presence, not perfection.

THE PEARLS I CHOOSE
I select pearls for their presence, not their perfection.
Luster matters. Balance matters. Feeling matters.
Some are softly rounded. Others are baroque asymmetrical, expressive, unmistakably individual.
I let each pearl be what it is.
WHY PEARLS
Pearls are the only gemstones created by a living being.
They are not cut, shaped, or forced into uniformity.
Each one carries its own character:
-
Subtle irregularities
-
Natural texture
-
A quiet, inner glow
No two are ever the same and that is where their beauty lives.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE OCEAN
Pearls are born of water, time, and patience.
They carry the energy of the ocean grounding, powerful, alive. Every piece I create is an expression of that relationship: Natural. Timeless. Unforced.
AN ARTIST'S APPROACH
I don’t design around pearls. I design with them.
I honor their natural form rather than correcting it. I choose restraint over excess. I trust what already exists. Because real beauty doesn’t need improvement only respect.
